💡 Why BidFriday?
As an interior architect, I found myself spending more time managing updates than actually designing. Whenever the client made a change—whether a new table layout or swapped material finish—it triggered a wave of manual edits, quote revisions, and vendor confusion.
What should’ve been a simple update turned into an error-prone, time-draining task. BidFriday fixes that.
🔧 How It Works
BidFriday turns item lists into dynamic, shareable bid sheets that track changes automatically:
- Create a list of materials or services you need (pulled directly from your Monday.com boards).
- Share the link with your vendors—no Monday account needed.
- Receive bids in one place, with real-time updates and clean comparisons.
As project requirements shift, your list updates once—and all vendors see the new version. The system flags what’s changed, so no one’s quoting off old data again.
🧱 Built on Monday
BidFriday is a native Monday App, deeply integrated with your existing workflows:
- Uses Monday boards as the source of truth
- Exports smart bid sheets for external vendors
- Tracks bid history across item list versions
- Provides a clean dashboard for comparing responses

🧠 What We Solved
- 🔁 Version control for item lists
- 📬 Reduced email clutter across stakeholders
- ❗ Fewer vendor mistakes due to outdated info
- 📊 Central dashboard to review and compare bids
🧗 Challenges Along the Way
Designing a clean way to track changes across evolving item lists wasn’t easy. After many iterations, the app can now highlight modifications precisely—so updates are crystal clear.
We also built separate access controls for internal teams and external vendors, making it simple for both sides to engage without friction.
🏆 Why It Matters
BidFriday was built out of personal frustration—but the workflow applies across industries:
- Architecture & construction
- Event planning
- Facility procurement
- Institutional sourcing
If you’ve ever sent a spreadsheet, only to realize someone’s quoting from the wrong version—this is for you.
Final Thought
When timelines are tight and designs keep evolving, the last thing you want is to play coordinator. BidFriday helps teams focus on the work, not the paperwork.
Whether you’re sourcing sofas, HVACs, or hospital beds—BidFriday keeps your bids current and your team in sync.
